Azreal Pre Con Sketch

So a small publishing company wanted me to get one of the main characters for a future comic I *may* be working on done for Wizard World Chicago...something that they could sell as prints to 'preview' the comic for the future. Unfortunately I was told about this a couple days ago so I'm in mad 'bust-my-ass-off' mode to get the painting done before...well Thursday at the latest @_@; Lets see if I can crank this baby out before then and not kill myself in the process.

I'm getting sick of this picture so I think I'm about to call it quits and just say it's done. It didn't come out at all like I wanted and I can't think of a proper background for it...I'm just stuck. But well, here it is so far. Not much will change from this point on I'm sure.

Here is an progress update on my last entry...unfortunately my tablet pen busted and I don't know when I'll get to work on this...or anything digital...again :/ I might be able to fix the pen itself...but we'll see how well my techy know-how is X3 if not I'll just have to order a new one :( sad.

Symbiont - Celldweller Entry

So I'm a nerd and I wanted to throw my creative two cents into the Celldweller graphics art doohickey thing that's going on. Pretty much it's just creating some art based around a Celldweller song and or inspired by Celldweller. And you know I'm a sucker when it comes to Klayton and Celldweller stuff.

So this is an in progress of my 'Symbiont' entry. Obviously based around the song, 'Symbiont'. There are elements from a few other songs off the album thrown in here but Symbiont is the main focus for the image. Listening to the album I get this idea of these two characters and their interactions...like I said, I'm a nerd. But it makes loads of sense in my head so that's all that matters.

In the 'inbetween' time while I'm working on commissions and more commissions I decided to take an old line art that's been sitting around on my desktop for a while now. NO. It's not mine obviously. It's part of the Samurai Champloo image done by Mark Brooks. Just a little sum'in sum'in to keep my mind free and flowing. Yarp. I don't know when it'll be done since I only work on it in bits here and there, but here is a small sample. Hooray color.

OMFG MANGE!

So I've been sitting on this commission for a loooong time. Longer than I should :/ I'm ashamed. But well...the reason being...one word...MANGE. You heard me. Not only is this character anthro...which is a realm I seldom delve in for various reasons (one being I suck at it), she is also covered in...MANGE. Do you know what mange is? Look it up if you don't. It's just horrible. And having to draw it...just as bad. I guess I can look at this as a nice step out of my comfort box, so I really can't complain too much. But...M..A..N..G..E.. It's rough let me tell you. And I have to color this once I'm done inking...coloring mange...I don't even know where to start. I guess lots of blood is my best bet. Oh well...HOORAY CHALLENGES! *dies*

Also, this is unfinished inks, so she's missing a few...limbs at the bottom c_c;;;

So I've started yet another sketch blog thing-a-ma-bobber. We'll see if I can keep this one alive and active :/ I have a bad habit of killing these poor blogs faster then my first pet hamster...but we won't get into that. *ehem*
